playing TCU is not good for LSU. If LSU wins TCU was overrated and never belonged in that bowl. If LSU does not win ( wont happen ) then we look like chumps and we are overrated. LSU needs to play a big time school in a big time bowl. OSU in the Fiesta or something like that.
I'd rather play West Virginia in the Orange Bowl than TCU. Looks like the mountaineers have a decent shot at the little East title. Those guys have a running game. And they almost beat Miami when they had them 4th and 13 with a 1:30 on the clock in the 4th, but Wins-low caught a stretching miracle ball to keep the drive alive. Crazy!
Don't blame TCU. All they did was play well throughout the year and stay undefeated. Blame the PAC-10 and Big 10, and to a lesser extent Miami, VTech, and the other big time programs that couldn't continue winning. They are the reason we will have to play TCU in a BCS bowl game if everything plays out as planned. The PAC/Big 10 bowl connection to the ROSE, will keep LSU from playing a big time school if TCU can complete it's schedule without a loss. Also, had Miami, VTech, Texas, Mich, Neb, etc had better seasons, TCU wouldn't be in this to begin with. All in all, any BCS game for the Tigers will be a plus. Anything will be better than that feeling of losing to Texas in the Cotton. Beating an undefeated TCU program might not seem like much on this board, but I bet it would mean something to the players . . . beating an undefeated Div 1A team in a BCS bowl game, finishing the season in the top 3, would be a great way for these Seniors to go out. I still think we have a shot at the Sugar, Ohio St and SC are not unbeatable.
Whatever happens this year, I hope it begins the downfall of the BCS. We need more than 1 team with only 1 loss to pelt the BCS with. Can't the NCAA step in and take control?
