From todays NCAA stats: http://web1.ncaa.org/d1mfb/Internet/ranking_summary/2003000000365.HTML LSU's top-10 national rankings: Scoring Defense = #1 Rushing Defense = #2 Total Defense = #4 Pass Efficiency Defense = #6 Punt returns = #5 Kickoff returns = #6 Net Punting = #10 #15 Passing Efficiency and #20 Scoring Offense ain't too shabby either!
The last two weeks have been some very good football. The defense is very good and seems to be getting better.
Kickoff returns #6! Thats great, but because of the defense they really don't get alot of oppurtunities to shine.
Looks to me like those stats are through 10-18, which means the Auburn game hasnt been factored in yet
Re: Re: LSU ranked top-10 in 7 NCAA categories Those rankings are current. LSU actually held Auburn to 53 yards rushing, which was right about what we were averaging. Its just that Ohio State held Indiana to -12 yards rushing and jumped over us.
They don't factor in what your opponet has previously done, only how many yards are gained on you for each week.
Re: Re: Re: LSU ranked top-10 in 7 NCAA categories Thanks Jerry DiNardo for helping the Buckeyes to beat out LSU in a statisical category. Do you think Lou Tepper is Ohio States defensive coordinator?
how can LSU have the #1 scoring defense? Mrs. Trev Alberts said that UGA was the best SEC team because they have the best defense and best scoring defense!
Trev has jumped off the Ga Bandwagon. This morning he said that they can't beat Florida the way they've been playing. This was during a CFL segment in which USC, Oklahoma State, Florida State were also discussed. As usual, LSU is nowhere to be found but that's OK. How many of these Goobers will pick La Tech as their upset special? More than a few, I'll bet.
