LSU passes USC for #2 in Sagarin poll

I was kind of bored, so on a whim I decided to look at the sagarin rankings thinking they could be up. Well, damn! They are up!

Hell yeah, we're up to number 2.

We're ahead of them by 14 hundredths and we will stay ahead of them. This is a good omen.

 

Is this the poll that we were #9 in last week?

If so, then this helps tremendously.

That was the New York Times.

 

We were ranked 3rd, right behind them. We were 9th in the NYT poll, which will probably end up being the dropped poll for us. They are 3rd behind texas in that poll, which is great for us. Hopefully a win over oregon st won't jump them over texas.

 

I don't know if I'm analyzing this properly, but in the predictor category, it says USC will finish 4, behind OU, LSU, and Texas. If that's the case, how many computers could USC end up #4 in?

 

The predictor is not exactly related to the elo-chess poll. The predictor is with margin of victory. I don't think USC will drop behind anyone but us in the computer polls.

 

We are #2 in 3 polls now. We could also possibly take of the Colley Matrix poll this week, but none of our former opponents helped us this week.

Very glad to see another Computer Poll swing our way ... maybe we get more AP votes as .... A FEW OF THESE AP VOTERS LOOK AT SAGARIN B4 voting. JUST MAYBE!

 

I think we will go up a few spots in the NYT poll this week simply because we are the only team in the BCS top 5 that played this week......Arkansas was ranked pretty high in NYT too from what I understand.......
