He looked pretty beat up in that game. I have only seen parts of their games this year, but has he been able to take hits? If not, they are doomed.

I predict a comfortable win, because St. Nick will have the team prepared and LSU has played a much stronger schedule. Who has OU played this year? No one, really. Many people think that beating Texas was a bug deal because Texas has a winning record, but that entire conference is a joke. Texas beat the smae joke teams OK did by about the same score. I'm sorry, I'm not impressed one bit.

I still believe Mauck spent all of his time studying the for the Dental exam vs. Fla, and many don't realize he and several linemen had the flu vs. Ole Miss. Defense wins big games and I believe we have the better defense. Texas Tech and Kansas State scored 25 and 35 points on this team. Kansas and Alabama held them to I still don't understand why LSU is not #1 in the BCS after reviewing the teams played by LSU, USC and OK.

I think LSU should be #1 in the AP and ESPN polls. The overall BCS rankings, other than the two polls I just mentioned, are pretty much objective components, so if all of that stuff adds up to OU being #1 and LSU being #2 we have to live with that this year.

I'm a Texas fan, and I freely admit that the defensive coaching for Texas is nothing short of ridiculous. I'm sure you guys remember putting up about 300 yards of total offense in the first quarter against UT. If you have decent talent and a quarterback that can make decisions, you can slice UT to death in the passing game. That win isn't as impressive as it might look on the surface.

And you're right - other than that, the best team they've beaten is Oklahoma State, a borderline top 25 team, and they had that game at home. They haven't had many tests... it'll be a new level for them. We'll see how they react.

yup. We're all hoping he's about to hang it up... that or get the axe. The Texas offense is pretty good, but it's a whole lot to ask for them to score 40 every time we play a good opponent... usually, that's the only way we can win.
