1. We are looking for one big game to play at home and another decent home game. We tried to get a game with Texas A&M to renew the potential rivalry but they are not interested.:dis: Also all the service academies have also turned us down, thank god. We dont want any part of a week ND schedule but it would have been nice to play one of them out of respect.

  2. Do you think we will schedule VT for a home and home any time soon again after what they pulled? They are holding out because we canceled on them a decade ago. It's a long time ago, but I guess we really hurt their wittle feelings.
  3. Can't blame the aggys. Wish we hadn't screwed that deal up.
  4. Getting Bowling Green to bump VT would be quite nice.
  5. That was my point. I really enjoyed the games againt A&M and ill feelings are understandable but was hoping they got over it by now. Makes me wonder how quick they would jump on renewing the series if we were not a top team.

I will be over the VT situation soon enough and if the opportunity arises to schedule games that are beneficial to both programs, I will be all for it.
  6. That's a good point. They are on the verge of becoming a pretty respectable football program this year. Having us beat them down the year after they have a little success would be a step backwards. Perhaps this bitterness is only to hide the real reason.
  7. fUSC is open on Sept 06 of '08, but they have a huge road trip on the 13th at Ohio St. I don't think they want LSU and the duckeyes back-to-back.
  8. I forget- what is the story behind that?
  9. We backed out of the last 2 games of the series. Dont really recall any other details.
  10. Schools change schedules and drop games all the time. Rescheduling has to be done every year, since they schedule so far into the future and things inevitably change. AD's and head coaches change and have different ideas about what kind of teams they want to play. Nobody wants to load up with powerhouses, nor with patsies and things change, you know? Schedules have to be modified.

The thing is . . . LSU did not drop A&M at the last moment as happened with us vs. Marshall and VT. Plenty of time was given for A&M to find another opponent.
