Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State have been eliminated in almost any scenario, so either LSU, Auburn, or Alabama will represent the West in Atlanta against Georgia.

Look at Alabama. They are a paper tiger. Of their six wins, five are unimpressive. The Florida win looks less impressive than it did, but it proves Alabama is to be taken seriously. I think Alabama does not have the talent of LSU or Auburn due to the lasting effects of their sanctions.

Auburn has looked more impressive than Alabama this year if you look at the schedule after Week 1. Auburn has more talent and better coaching. Just like most of this decade the winner of the LSU vs. Auburn game will win the West.

If LSU loses, they will have two SEC losses and be down a tie break to an Auburn team that is undefeated in the SEC with Ole Miss, Kentucky, Georgia, and Alabama left. They will almost definitely win two of those so LSU will be eliminated from the SEC race. Auburn would still probably have to beat Alabama but they would have the inside track. Auburn has a weak schedule with only one serious East opponent, which stinks. We always get two serious East opponents because of our marriage to Florida, which puts us at a disadvantage. If Auburn had to play Tennessee instead of Kentucky it would be more fair.

Of course, Alabama is just as in it as Auburn and I could be wrong, but a three-point win against Ole Miss and a nine-point win against Southern Miss mixed in with three other mediocre wins tell me that I'm probably not.

LSU probably has to win both the Auburn and Alabama games to represent the West. Stop with the turnovers and penalties, please. I think we are more talented than both these teams, but between the early season defensive problems and now the turnovers and penalties, I am not overly confident. Go Tigers (LSU).

Wouldn't it be wonderful for LSU to beat USC in the Rose Bowl in January? It is still possible.

Not true... in 2007 we play Kentucky and South Carolina. Auburn has a lucky year this year having to play those two teams. They play Georgia every year, which this year does not look too promising for them.

After this week the picture becomes a little clearer.

Auburn still has LSU, Ole Miss, @Kentucky, @Georgia, Alabama

Alabama has Tenn,@ Miss. St, LSU, Auburn.

LSU needs to win this week for sure.

Not just to keep on track but this is Auburn. That should be enough to get em ready. The thought of last years game alone .

Would you consider your wins over ASU,UF,and vandy to have been DOMINATING? Let us not forget the impressive way that Miles snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against terdersee.

The UF and Vandy game were dominated by LSU. If you take away the 11 turnovers and over 20 penalties for 200+ yards, we would have beat both of them by 30 points. I'm sure you did'nt watch the games so you dont know. I think you better worry about your team. Did'nt you guys almost get beat by Ole Piss?

Listen! your team is the most overrated in the country!

You never have been and never will be Great under Shula!

I don't know about the rest of the year, but I GUARANTEE we will beat you jokes, just like last year and the year before that.

You beat Florida by a lot, but we all know that 1 good game vs another teams bad game can do this (ala us against UGA last year)

You played more to your level in your Southern Miss struggles and Ole Miss luck-shot
