Brennan had nothing to do with the safety other than handing the ball off on the play that was called. I hate seeing a deep handoff like that one the one yard line.
O said they were red shirting him. So he will likely start when Brennan leaves or graduates unless we recruit someone better.
I think the way we used him was perfect. Meaningful reps while still being able to win the game. If we were packing it in he would probably play full time. If the light suddenly goes on for him while bringing him along, watch out.
