I guess Tirk is a genuis and is mr basketball... I'll tell you what the difference is Mr Basketball........ Rick Patino is an established basketball coach John Brady is not. What has John Brady ever done compared along with Rick Patino's Resume? I'll give you the answer.... NOTHING...............
why resort to calling me names? You make my point for me. Pitino IS one of the most established coaches in college basketball and probably most respected. YET, his team is experiencing the SAME problems as LSU without injuries or limited scholarships as we have the last 4 yrs minus last year. I didn't mean to offend but I thought you were being sarcastic. I don't think you can compare the 2 situations. Please let me know if Louisiville has been blown out in back to back games. I don't think you can also compare the 2 because of the reasons I stated. Has Louisville been blown out or had scoring droughts all season like this team has? We did beat Centenary by 1 point? How good is that? I don't think its any longer time to take up for Brady and make excuses......... Either the coaches can recruit or coach or they can't..... John Brady hasn't proven he can yet IMO sorry again....
I am not making excuses, I am CLEARLY pointing out that you can't ASSUME everything would be different with a quality coach. Would anyone believe Pitino would lose 5 of 6 without injuries to much weaker teams than LSU lost to with much more depth and quality of players? That is my point. LSU lost it best player the last few games, hence their freefall. Hence, their lack of confidence and concentration. Will they use this as motivation for the final game or two and the NCAA trny? Probably. If not, then I evaluate them then if Lloreda is back.
I've been saying this for awhile now...This team's only consistent point is that you can bet they'll be inconsistent... Great early start in the SEC....losing streak....even better winning streak...equally gut-wrenching losing streak... This team can't capitalize on its good fortune. They get momentum built up, sack up, and-for whatever reason, be it injuries or otherwise-can't step up and win winnable games. Without Lloreda, we should still be able to beat Auburn. We should have been able to beat Vanderbilt as well. I'm sorry, but I feel we should have. This is no bash...I have recused myself from that exercise in futility, because, depending on which side of the inconsistency roller coaster you find the team on, you'll find yourself either agreed with or told you are some kind of turd who is a pompous ass who has his manhood, sexuality, and loyalty as a fan questioned. But, I will say this...The fanbase at this point is indicative of team...Hot and cold... We want this team to win, and win consistently. They aren't. They haven't. They won't. It's just a hallmark of this team. Inconsistency. Get used to it. It's the one thing you can EXPECT and get, every night...
We're in real trouble for next year since we rely on Jaime so much. Will we be able to win 1 game without him? My point was Rick Pitino is proven and John Brady is not...... Thats the clear difference if you ask me. I think next year will be the make or brake season for him. If he doesn't win next year I think he will be gone. Why can't you assume things could be different with a quality coach? Does Duke and the top programs have seasons just like us? When was the last time Duke lost back to back in blow outs? If Brady had more of a winning resume I agree with you.. You can take a chance with Patino because of his resume more than you can with a guy like John Brady if you ask me... Because Patino has always been a winner.. Brady hasn't proved much yet......
I'll leave Brady alone this time because I have a question... Why is Mississippi State good in basketball? What is the attraction? Is it coaching? They are recruiting 1st class talent from both the high school ranks and the JuCo ranks - HOW? We all know how terrible Starkville is - I would bitch and complain if I had to drive there and pick up a suitcase full of money much less be an athlete, a student and a bachelor.
