LSU moves to # 4 What a great weekend. Georgia and Washington State out of the way along with Miami ... down 17-0 at VT. Polls should look something like this. 1. OKLAHOMA 2. USC 3. FLORIDA STATE 4. LSU 5. Virginia Tech, OSU or Miami OKLAHOMA & USC roll the rest of the way ... almost impossible for LSU to get to #2. If only we'd beaten Florida, we'd be #2 right now with Miami out. Looks like LSU/FSU in a BCS bowl. We'll have to whip the last 3 SEC teams and SEC East Winner ... no small task.
And USC still has to play UCLA who is playing pretty good ball right now even though they lost tonight.
aztiger - if LSU wins out, that means you win the SEC CC Game and go probably to the Orange Bowl (I think they'll want the SEC team) . .if you lose the SEC CC game, I think it will be impossible for LSU to go BCS . Historically, no team that has lost a conference championship game has ever gone to a BCS bowl . .personally, I think that sucks . .
I THINK (correct me if I'm wrong) that it goes in some form of order . .basically the the #1 and #2 team goes Sugar . and then certain conferences definitely play in certain games if they aren't in the NC game . (SEC - Sugar Bowl, Pac 10, Big 10 - Rose, ACC- Orange) . .so I'm not sure . Then I think they pick teams based on some form of preset order . . If you win out . .I'm going to guess the conference champs woudl follow: SEC - LSU ACC - FSU Big East - VTech Big 12 - Oklahoma Pac 10 - USC Big 10 - OSU then maybe Miami or VT and maybe UGA or Purdue or WSU or something as an at large . . Sugar - Oklahoma vs. USC Orange - FSU vs. VTech Fiesta - LSU vs. at large? Rose - OSU vs. WSU who knows .. anyone know this process for sure? So . .Oklahoma vs. USC in the Sugar
I heard on the Post Game show after the LSU-Auburn game that Fiesta bowl reps were at the game........ so i'm thinkin fiesta is the most likely we'd end up at if we won out.
