I know that everyone is dissapointed in the way the team played and we wanted better . But life is a strange thing. Sometimes life doesnt always go your way. There is not one person on this board that can say they are perfect and that they dont make mistakes. Our team made some key mistakes and we lost a football game. But lets keep things in perspective. Loving and pulling for LSU is a joy in my life. These Coaches and players put it on the line for you every time they go on the field. The time and effort they put in on our behalf and they depend on our support. The easiest thing to do is to kick someone when they are down. To point out there mistakes and let them know how bad they let you down. It is hard to give the encouraging word to the person that just lost everything. Look back at the people whose life has been turned upside down because of the hurricanes and do you think they understand the wanting to give up and the fear they face every single day wondering how to give their families the best life they can. Sure we take our LSU football serious and i dont think that is bad but lets remember that it is a game. People do get hurt when they put it on the line and they get nothing but people pointing the finger at them and saying how they made your life worse. Yes i am sad we lost and i have things that i can say to tear down the Coaches and Team for their mistakes. But when i think about it i would rather give them a smile. Tell them thanks for a great season. Tell them they have my support win or lose. And let them know that i am proud to be a fan of the Team and University they represent. We have plenty of people on this board that are willing to point out all our teams shortcomings. There is a place for them here. Just like their is a place for the LSU Homers like myself who are here to point out what a priviledge it is to pull for LSU. Thank you Coach Miles and LSU Football team for a great season. For representing our State and University with class. For putting your lives on the line for the fans of LSU. As for this Homer i am greatfull.
Hey... Ditto... This is one guy who was still screaming his lungs off at the game on Georgia's last possession inside the 10... Still proud to be a Tiger and always will be. I'll be in Atlanta in a few weeks... :thumb:
Great post and I agree with you, what you said is what I have been trying to say since I joined this board. No matter what happened last night, I still am and will always be a Tiger fan. I can imagine how a players parent or a player themselves came here and saw some of the posts that were being posted. I am not gonna talk bad about this or any Tiger team. I will always be proud of them. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige

If you choose to look at things in a positive manner this Peach Bowl game may be one of the best Bowls played this year. It will be the only game on and a national audience. I believe our guys come fired up for this game and i for one am looking forward to it. I will be in England unfortunately for the holidays but i am going to find a way to watch. It will start at 2:00am in the morning. I havnt figured out how i watch it at that time on the computer and my family still sleep. I have a tendancy to hollar and scream during the games.
