For those of you who are LSU helmet and uniform geeks (like me), Helmet Hut has just posted a great picture of a reproduction late 40s - early 50s LSU helmet. www.helmethut.com This is the 4th style LSU helmet that they have reproduced, but the better news is that they have just completed a special project with LSU that they will soon announce. My guess is that they have been contracted to work on a display project for the Andonie museum. This is a first-rate company that has done similar work for the College Football HOF, for individuals like Hank Stram and Sonny Jurgensen, and for pro and college teams. They also have an outstanding collection of authentic helmets, including the one worn by LSU alum Johnny Robinson when the KC Chiefs won the Super Bowl.
