    Daljeon Farr has decommited.
Chris Keys has changed his commitment to the Tide.
Alfred Jones has gone from a solid to a soft commitment (He will start taking visits.)
Kevin Myers has said that he will look at signing with USC now instead of LSU.
There is also talk about LSU losing Kyle Anderson and Ciron Black.

That's really weak...you should never go to a school solely because of a coach, that's just stupid. Coaches come and go all the time. You should go to a school because it's right for you and where you want to spend the next four years of your life. If these recruits were so fickle that they changed commitments so easily after Saban announced his departure then they weren't solid commitments to LSU to begin with.

If LSU can hire a very good coach, I think recruiting this year can be salvaged. If we get a middle of the road coach, the loss of a recruiting class is like being on one year probation without doing anything wrong. LSU will feel the loss of Nick in several years if we keep losing commitments. Just my 2 cents.

See comment under my screen name...

Once we have a coach in place we will get these guys back. They are disapointed, like we all are, that things have changed. But once things settle down we will be ok...

Good news I guess is that this was going to be a down year in recruiting anyway. So we aren't really losing that much by having this season be a transistion year. Can you imagine what it would have been like last year had we had to make a coaching change then?

Maybe the new coaching staff can get some other top recruits Saban wasn't looking at like Lucas Taylor. It appears that we still have a real good shot at Perriloux since I am sure the new coaching staff will be totally open to who would start at QB next year. Go ahead and let these fickle recruits flee. We ant players like MArcus Spears who love LSU and excel no matter who coaches here.

Tell that to a lot players that played for Alabama. They wanted to go there, not b/c of their pretty campus or pretty girls, but b/c "the Bear" was the head coach there.

There are certain schools however that players go to or use to go to b/c of the school name and not the coach, like Notre Dame.

I think we should sign at least 23 players on February 2nd even if we don't have that many spots and have a bunch of them willing to greyshirt, because some players always transfer and there might be alot more.

I don't blame a player for decommiting with the situation as it is. However, I think these players should wait and see what kind of coach comes to LSU before committing to another school. If we can get a coach into LSU by next Friday, that is well respected in the nation, then I think that we will be fine with our recruits, and may even pick up a few more. Ironically, the key to LSU future football success is in the hands of an ex-baseball coach.

Florida also lost several committs but once Meyer came in....they got some back and found some new ones.

Life will go on and LSU will get a solid class.
