I got this idea from the "Dan Patrick Show" What 4 LSU football players would have their faces carved in stone on LSU's Mount Rushmore... feel free to throw in Basketball and Baseball's Mt. Rushmore
Football: Billy Cannon, Doc Fenton, Bert Jones, Kevin Faulk Basketball: Bob Pettit, Pete Maravich, Shaquille O'Neal, Rudy Macklin
Thats a very very hard question and I see you didn't give an answer.:dis::dis: Thats one I'm going to have to think about a while to give you four but two I can give you quick are Cannon and Hilliard. Hilliard because he was always one of my favorites, hard working and humble yet one hell of a player. Cannon, well I don't think I need to explain that one here.:grin::grin:
Hmmmmm Obviously Billy Cannon is there. I'll put Bert Jones on there too. Kevin Faulk. My last guy is Chad Lavalais. There should be a guy from this years team and Chad did so much for this team. And I'm a youngin, so I don't know LSU football too far back.
Yeah, its a very hard question.....I just heard it on the Dan Patrick show and then posted it. Its a question you will have to think about for awhile before reaching a decision. As of right now mine is Billy Cannon Kevin Faulk Bradie James (one of my favorite all-time players) ??
Bertman, Cannon, Saban, and Maravich - all-time all-sport LSU All football Player Cannon, Faulk, Hilliard, Bert Jones
Football - Doc Fenton from the 1908 undefeated team, Billy Cannon from the 1958 National Champs, Chad Lavalais from this years NC and Nick Saban. Basketball - Bob Pettit, Pete Maravich, Shaq, Dale Brown. Baseball - Skip Bertman, Warren Morris, Wally Pontiff, Ben McDonald
Coaches: Saban, Bertman, Dietzel, Brown Athletes: Maravich, Cannon, Todd Walker, Brad Cresse (I'd rather have a member of this year's football team over Cresse, but there just isn't one player that defined the team.)
If I had to pick an MVP off of this years team it would be Lavalais. Hard worker that never took a play off and led by example, he also seemed humble never cocky.:geaux: :lsug:
