He listed four of the incidents reported by police: --A male Georgia fan was hospitalized after the portable toilet he was in was turned over and he was assaulted as he tried to climb out; --A Georgia administrator wearing her school's colors was hit by a mudball; --A Georgia couple found a flag they placed on their car burned and lying in a ditch after the game and their car's hood dented; --A female Georgia fan reported being subjected to lewd comments. http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/s...WzpEBTQVszTF18xD41lUWHFZBo8wCYYVMIXcfhAV1Igfx!1154790549?urac=n&urvf=10658081596490.007557428979346303 Looks like the barners aren't the only ones with vivid imaginations.
There are crimes committed by hooligans outside every SEC stadium on game day. I'd be interested to see the arrest reports from other schools. It wouldn't be much different. Auburn has reported trouble with their fans this year. A cop was punched, a tree was set on fire, a gate was stormed, etc.
I have to wonder why the AJC would bother with this story now. Is it because Georgia is going to another large hostile environment this weekend? Or did he just get confused after being beaned on the head with a beer bottle by one of the crazed Cubs fans that were in Atlanta a few days ago for the matchup against the Braves? By and large, the Cubs fans who came into Atlanta last week were the most obnoxious group of fans that I have ever witnessed anywhere.
Yeah, at least your administration is TRYING to help tone down the the classless behavior in and around the lsu campus...good luck getting rid of the reputation of being the rowdiest, most obnoxious fans in the SEC though, it won't come anytime soon...
We don't want to lose the rep as being the rowdiest! That's what makes Death Valley the best. As for obnoxious....aubum and ole miss come to mind!
We may be rowdy but at least we don't go setting our campus on fire. 1st the barn, I mean gym and next some trees on campus. The only thing we set on fire are opponents vans .
Actually the perps in the toilet turnover was apprehended, by true LSU fans that were, er, forced to use forceful methods in detaining them till the authorities arrived, of course your not going to hear that on the news. Mud ball? Com on that sounds like a kid throwing mud, what about the whiskey bottles that we are always accused of throwing? Maybe it was a whiskey ball he got hit with? A GA flag burned after the game? Could have been a fan of either team, the question is was it burnt out of disgust or celebration? Lewd comments? Don't know the particulars of this one but if a UGA fan would happen to make a hand signal to a LSU fan after a big win I could imagine a "F*** YOU" reply that could be termed as lewd. Every team has bad fans . Let us win 2 or 3 NC's in a row and we'll be good, Promise!
I am sure LSU can erase this bad fan behavior reputation. At least, I'm sure they will before Auburn erases their "second fiddle to Bama" reputation in their own state.
