Being that I'm from a different country, and have had the fortune to be the supporter of a team that has had consistent success (Manchester United), I have to say that a lot of LSU fans dont seem to know what its like to have success year after year. Winning games where you dont play your best is actually the mark of a good team and good coaching. Winning ugly games is the bread and butter of great teams. Reading some of the comments here and on other message boards makes LSU fans seem ignorant and fair weather. Even during the 2003 season you saw some really ugly games where LSU was lucky to get out with a win.
I also think its a good post although I think the jury is still out on this coaching staff. I like what I see defensively and I take hope and promise from that!
Great post. Yeah, its sad to say that most Tiger fans are ignorant and very fair weathered. Even at 5-1, they are still bitching about the coach, but thats because their god saban has moved on to miami.:geauxtige
You have forgotten about the special teams play, including field goal kicking which is much improved this year. ________ karinASS
this is a very shallow view. sure, no team will play great every game, but would you agree that they should play some great games to be considered a good team? i think most fans would agree lsu has only played one good game-against msu, the doormat of the sec. the concern is that the team will never (or rarely) play well against a good team. some fear that lsu's play so far this season is indicative of having great talent and poor coaching. if that is true, lsu will rarely play well against a good team and in future years will not have great talent. perhaps some fans are having flashbacks to the last time we replaced a great coach.
To say the problem was great talent & poor coaching from last night would be incredibly ignorant IMO. On top of that, Miles is an excellent recruiter, so having great talent shouldn't be a problem for the future either.
