Remember last baseball season. We were swept by Kansas and alittle later lost 2 of 3 at Long Beach State. At that time there were tons of people who wanted Smoke's head and felt we were not going anywhere fast. We need to fire Smoke and what was Skip thinking when he hired him. These were some of the complaints fans had at the time. Well as you may recall we got our act together and won the SEC. We then proceeded to go to the CWS. Now this season we are talking about a return trip to the CWS. The point i'm trying to make here is don't jump off the boat just yet. We still have alot of the SEC ahead of us. All we need to do is have faith and support the Tigers. Why should we always have the notion that we are doomed this season. We are 14-4 and 4-3 in conference. That is 2nd in the west and 4th overall in the SEC. Not bad for a young really inexperienced group of basketball players. The last thing we should do now is give up faith. To be a champion you have to believe you are a champion.
Even when this team does mesh and gell they still lack a pure shooter. We have no consistant 3 pt threat on the team. I think we need somebody that if you dont meet him at the 3 pt line, chances are he'll drill it. However, progress is being made and Brady should be given a little longer before I jump on with the Brady bashers out there.
Tonight is a statement game for Brady and the Tigers. I'm still a bonafied Brady Basher, but I hope they kick some serious Orange ass tonight!
whether or not we "have faith" will not affect the way the bball team plays tonight. i think we're doing fine and about as should be expected considering the circumstances. however, we still have to play msu, uk, uf, vandy. i think its good for the team that these games are late in the season, and these games will show us the mettle of the team. looking forward to tonight. hope we can handle mcfagdon, take care of the ball and REBOUND! Go Tigers!
Mitchell can be that guy. I don't know what happened to his shot. When he gets his stroke back Brady will suddenly be a genius.
I have never doubted Smoke Laval and his approach, even when we were 6-5...To compare Brady to Smoke is ridiculous... Baseball is a TOTALLY different animal than basketball... I learned my lesson in 2000 when the baseball team was 6-5, with a sweep at home to Houston and a loss in extra innings to McNeese on the road, 6-5...I left them for dead... A few months later, I was watching Pontiff get his SEC tournament MVP award, and then on the field for Cresse's game winner in Omaha... Brady has had much longer to do this...and the comparison is silly... Anyone who thinks I doubted Smoke Laval needs to find out from David Folse...I took his ass to TASK on Songy's show when he hosted it and called for Smoke's head, and then he bitched out and wouldn't take my call on his KLSU radio show... I have never doubted Smoke...I have doubted Brady... Just the facts, jack...
