brady teams are always defensive hustlers and rebounding maniacs. not always the best outside shooters though.

Aggy guard Law is a pretty danged good player. Last nite, he disappeared. That was some defense.

First time I've seen Big Baby this year. That guy has some moves he didn't have when he was Bigger Baby. Sorta reminded me of Barkley.

    Fun game to watch.:thumb:

Rolle is playing with a bulging disc in his back, I think he'll get better as he heals.
I like what we got from Tasmin, Temple, and Mason. Minor looked pretty good, played under control except for one possession.

Law was having a fit with Temple guarding him, he kept trying to put a move but would end up going back out side except for one drive.

Davis, Temple, and Mitchel are the keys. The rest, at this time, just compliment those guys. Tack still needs a shocking collar sometimes to get his mind back on his business after he makes a big play. He was still patting himself on the back, while dropping back on defense, after an inside move for a layup. He lost his man giving him a clear shot at a dunk. Davis tried to compensate and it cost Davis his fourth foul.
Hopefully by the time SEC play starts, he and Mason will have found their niche and solidify this team.

The best defense is a good offense. Guess I am just more offensively minded.

These are good observations, but for what it's worth, a lot of folks on this board were casting Tack off early in the season. Tack was a contributing factor last night in a pretty big way. With him and Temple on the court, you've got two ball handlers, and Tack could penetrate and get into the lane with some regularity and bring the ball up so Temple could conserve his energy to guard Law (Temple and Tas' both played the entire game). He hit threes and hit his free throws. Voogd on the other hand came in for two minutes and turned the ball over twice. It's not a slight on Voogd, but he seems to play well against inferior competition and Minor seems to get up for the big games. Tack still needs obviously to learn how to keep himself under control, but he clearly does have a place on this team. I think if he gets himself in a little better shape, and keeps from getting stuck leaving his feet and having to pass, we could see him really contributing late in the season. He got very little pub after Davis, Mitchell and Temple today, and I think he deserved a little.

He may be an even bigger key against Texas. You've got two small quick guards that Minor may have to spend some time on, Augustin and Abrams. Temple will likely get the call again, but Tack will have to focus harder on defense in this weekend's game.

Don't think it's only fans casting Tack off early this season. Brady didn't play him very much before last night's game, too. I'm thinking he only got the minutes b/c Lazare was out and Rolle was killing on us defense. Brady tried playing Johnson, but his defense was pretty bad as well. Brady didn't have much choice but to play a smaller lineup.

I maybe wrong, but I see very little improvement from Tack since he arrived at LSU. He'll make a great play followed by two bad plays.

We'll see what happens when Martin is eligible to play.
