The bats for sure. I'm concerned with how many runs we give up late in the game. This is similar to the Texas football team, such a talent filled state and they never have a QB. We seem to be loaded as well but never have any arms. I think we will need every run we can put on the board today plus 10% because I'm not sure our pen can hold a lead against the Vol bats.
Coach Johnson hasn’t even been at LSU an entire year yet (announced June 24 last year). Except for the recruits who followed him and transfer additions, he is largely winning with CPM players. I expect that with a yr or two his recruiting additions will address the lack of starting pitchers issue. One stark difference between this yr and the last 2-3 years under Mainieri has been the significant reduction in the # of pitchers having to be shut down for arm problems.
