    4. LSU (7-1) W, Appalachian State 24-0 next game: at Alabama LSU still has to put together a complete game, but since the pick this week is likely going to be a win over Alabama, it moves into the number four spot. Don’t let the 24-0 win over Appalachian State fool you; ASU would beat about 20 D-I teams and LSU was looking ahead to next week. 5. Alabama (9-0) W, at Mississippi State 17-0 next game: LSU The defense is fantastic, but has it shut down a really good offense yet? Florida’s offense is the only one on the Tide schedule that’s doing anything. The Tide offense isn’t struggling only able to manage three points against Mississippi State. Bama needs to beat LSU impressively to move into the top three.

I like CFN. Maybe it's only because they are very kind to LSU. Hell, just a few years ago you'd NEVER read this statement about LSU: "Don't let the 24-0 win over Appalachian State fool you; ASU would beat about 20 D-1 teams and LSU was looking ahead to next week." Nope, never. It would have read something like: "LSU has a lot of work to do after losing to an outmanned ASU team. If they play this way next week, they'll be chasing Crimson jerseys all day long." It's definately a testament to what LSU has achieved over the last few years.

Personally I think Appy State could beat probably more than 20 D-1 teams. They were pretty good. We still should have beaten them by more, but they appeared WAY better than NT.

Definately. But I'm just saying that in the past, the media would overlook that and say, "oh they're D-1AA, LSU should have..."

Yeah and they put up 17 on yall and 3 on us. What does that say about your defense? But I guess if the highly respected CFN says that LSU will win then I guess we should just cancel the game. After all, CFN is where everybody goes to get their college football news, they know everything....:thumb:

Sorry BamaTider...Almost all of the UF points were gifts on very short fields resulting from LSU turnovers. UF did not have a sustained scoring drive on the LSU D.

Yeah so let's just discount the 17 pts. that UF put up. It's not like LSU has struggled all season with turnovers and penalties so there's no reason to believe they will against the Tide....Anyways, make excuses if you need to but LSU gave up 17 while Bama gave up 3. I don't care how they gave them up.

Using your same logic, LSU put up 37 on State while you managed 17. Nice!

The smak will flow fast and furious, but the fact remains that both teams are a combined 16-1 and have looked very underwhelming at times this season in compiling that record.

With the eyes of the nation on Tuscaloosa, no time like this Saturday for this LSU team to play its most complete game of the season. A double-digit win at Bama would turn heads, much like Miami's win did last week.

Do I think we'll win by double-digits? No, but I'm keepin' hope a-live.
