Is this the first time that both LSU and Auburn fans are on the same side? I believe I can safely say that the majority of us would've liked Auburn to go the Orange Bowl even though they're our bitter enemies. Even last year...from what I remember, most Auburn fans were waaaaaayyyy up USC's butt, and then even more so OU. I never remembered LSU and Auburn fans "uniting", if you want to call it that. It does seem we do have a little sympathy for them though. After all, they did get screwed. All we can do now for each other is to continue to pull for the SEC and hopefully go undefeated in these upcoming Bowl Games.
I don't love them, but I do like to see SEC teams win their bowl games and nonconfernece games. I wasn't like this while at LSU, back then I wanted everyone in the SEC to lose . . . mostly in years we were not in a bowl. But now I like to see the entire SEC dominate the rest of the conferences. I think both the LSU/Iowa and AU/Vtech bowls will be pretty exciting games, although I would have rathered AU in the Orange.

from a strategic point of view, having Auburn #1 would be good for LSU.. we lost to them by 1 point on a controversial call..
I'm proud to be considered by my deep rooted and vile hatred for anything having to do with Auburn-save for Bobby Lowder, whose the best thing that could ever happen to an LSU fan who dislikes AU-to be on the "lunatic fringe" of LSU fandom... There is no love for Auburn in this heart...
I have to disagree with the Lowder thing, he has bungled up a few things but damn that much money has to help them an awful lot.
