I dont think it would happen, especially with the heat the administration is getting over the botched contracts and the fact that the strength of schedule is starting to hurt our NC chances.
I would't worry about it too much. If Skip isn't considering Southern, easily a much better team than SLU, there's no way he'll bring in SLU. SLU is just looking to collect a few easy dollars for their new program. Skip's not going to fall for it.
I do find it funny that many LSU fans believe Skip is responsible for our football schedule, not Nick Saban. I have a very hard time believing that Saban don't have the final say on who we play ... just like Brady, Laval, and the other coaches do in their program. The only difference is Saban don't have to get on the phone and do all the leg work ... that's Radakovic's and Bertman's job. If Saban had a real problem playing in-state schools, they WOULD NOT be on our schedule!
I wouldn't worry about it. After Monday's BCS standings came out, they are taking enough flack for scheduling rent a wins. Just think about it. If we don't go all the way this year, most of our team comes back next year. I think we will at least have a Louisville or Southern Miss in that slot.
