Danny McCray. 6'1 205 Safety. Are you kidding me? Just watched the game again on CST and this player is all over the field. And he is just a SOPHOMORE!
Was very impressed with McCray, actually got some press. One of the announcers said when Dorsey was interviewed this week they asked him who was a player who they did not know about but should. He thought for a moment and said McCray.:thumb:
He's looked really good in his role. The strong safety spot is open next season, and McCray and Jones will be fighting for it.
Watched ESPN's top 10 plays of the day and McCray's INT off of the ole double-tip was, #4 I believe... The #1 play of the day per Sportscenter was the fake FG run by Colt David! :thumb: 10 plays in all of sports, and 2 of them were LSU! :thumb:
McCray is my new man on D!! THE 44 The first 2 times he got the ball run to him, (early in the 1st q) he got TRUCKED. then from there, it was time for vengeance. HE was the most impressive player opn the field. He had many nice tackles and an incredible INT. Its just funny. he caught our attention by being run over. but after that, every great play, me and my buddies looked at each other and screamed "the 44"
Yeah who told Laron Landry that he could suit back up in his tiger uni? (P.S. i would let him:wink: )
any chance either McCray of Jones moves to linebacker next year. They are both pretty good size safetys and both need to be on the field. Also we will need linebackers next year with Sanders and Highsmith graduating and wouldn't be surprised if Beckwith comes out early.
