Could somebody explain to me Sagarin's formula? How are teams who have more losses than us better than us?

However it is less accurate in its predictions for upcoming games than is the PURE POINTS, in which the score margin is the only thing that matters." that's all the explanation he really gives.
Well that explanation kinda contradicts his rankings... LSU has one loss, Miami, Tennesee, and Georgia have two losses... obviously it's more than just a matter of 'winning and losing'. Good post though.
