1. 7. LSU – In a one-for-the ages performance, the Tigers completely embarrassed Miami, 40-3, in the Peach Bowl, the ‘Canes’ worst loss since the probation days of the late 1990s. Without starting quarterback JaMarcus Russell, LSU lit up Miami’s third-ranked D for 468 yards, while the defense was impenetrable. The non-stop domination continued after the game, when a brawl in the tunnel left two ‘Canes unconscious.

    LSU!

  2. Should add:

    47. LSU QB Matt Flynn – Others had gaudier numbers than Flynn this past bowl season, but few stood taller than the unflappable sophomore did in the Peach Bowl. In his first career start, the game’s offensive MVP calmly tossed two touchdown passes and led the Bengals on eight consecutive scoring drives in a 40-3 mauling of Miami.

    56. LSU RB Joseph Addai – A healthy Addai proved too much for even the Miami defense to contain in the Peach Bowl. He sparked the offense and took some of the pressure off first-time starting quarterback Matt Flynn by running for 120 yards and a score and adding a touchdown reception.
  3. Hell, what does it take to be rated #1. LSU creamed one of the top teams in the country and a perinnial powerhouse. That deserves something better than a #7 ranking.
  4. Well, they had to put West Virginia and the Rose Bowl in 5 of the top 6 spots!

    :dis:
  5. That was the problem. We creamed them too badly. It made it look like Miami was just laying down.
  6. No Bush??? No Leinart??? How can this be? :D :D
  7. well when you totally destroy a team... it really isn't TV stuff. No excitement. I think that is why we fell so low.... but oh well it is a stupid poll anyway... kind of reminds me of the .... ummm... hmmm... oh yeah the AP poll
  8. CFN often just puts together fun little polls to give people a fun little fix as college football is on the way out for another 8 months.
  9. To be or not to be, that is the question.
