1 ou 2 osu 3 tcu 4 usc 5 LSU LSU is now ranked 5.5 in the computers overall dropping the ranking from the pos NYT. quotes from page: - Ohio St., which has beaten 5 current top-35 teams, moves to #2 - #3 TCU is ahead of #4 USC because the 2nd-best team that the 1-loss Trojans have played is #45 Notre Dame - #5 LSU is poised to rise if it keeps winning: the Tigers' next 3 games are at #16 Mississippi, vs. #15 Arkansas, and probably vs. #10 Georgia (in the SEC championship game) At least two of the polls are giving us credit. osu must lose for us to get to the championship game. We can definitely jump usc in this poll though. We are only 8 thosandths behind them. http://www.andersonsports.com/football/ACF_frnk.html
ESPN projects OSU ahead of USC this week due to the New York Times dropping the Trojans to 5th. Tigers remain at #4.
I looked over the details of the colley matrix, and I noticed we are only 8-1 according to them. I thought it was a mistake, but apparently they don't even count our win over western ill. Damn those Marshall bastards.
Here's the bottom line ... without a playoff system, there is no simple and objective way to determine the better team between LSU, USC and OSU ... assuming all 3 win out. It's unfortunate that LSU will probably get left out in a year when we have a team that is good enough to play for the MNC!
i just wanted to tell you guys, you cant get points for beating a team twice... so if you guys beat UGA the only real way it would help you guys, would be if you went up in the AP or Coaches poll. all im saying is that if you guys are to play UGA then you will need USC to lose, because we all know OSU will lose to michigan
Heard this same argument for 2 weeks before the Bama game ... and it had no affect on the outcome. Coaches and players are responsible for focusing on the game ... polls are something for the fans and media to discuss.
Would someone please give a recap of where LSU stands in all of the computer polls that have been released? Thanks
Yes! It was my fault. I was supposed to cover the RB out of the backfield, but thought you had him and I blitzed and lost the game. :cuss:
I know this is a dumbass question, but what is MNC? Well what does the "M" stand for. I am sure I know but for the life of me, I cant figure it out.
