http://www.harrisinteractive.com/news/bcspoll.asp LSU is #3 with Penn State a pretty close #4. It's going to be close between LSU and Penn State for the #3 spot in the BCS over the next few weeks. I've also plugged all these rankings into my BCS page, so you can take a look and see how this week is shaping up. Just click on the link in my sig. LSU will have a chance to move up a little as more computers are released, and the high and low get thrown out, but I don't think it will be significant.
Here's a scenario. USC and Texas BOTH lose...We win out and should become #1 in AP but are left out because BCS still says Texas and USC are 1-2. Doesn't matter who wins in the BCS NC game and we win our game. AP ranks us #1 and Texas or USC are #1 after their game. Would you embrace the split title ala 2003?
I would too but so many chided USC in 2003. Just wondering how it would pan out with that other shoe.
Wont happen, remember Oklahoma? K State beat them in 2003 and they didn't fall very far did they? the voters just CANT vote USC lower, they WANT this Three Peat. :dis: so Texas will beat them and win the NC.
I never criticized USC... I just criticized how the media made it seem like our game with OU didn't even count... And how the media makes it seem like they won 2 titles in a row, without even mentioning that they shared one of them
How about this scenerio.... TX and USC play with the USC winning and being named #1 in the BS. LSU plays in a bowl, wins, and is #1 in the AP. Then LSU claims to have won the NC. The national press fawns all over LSU and for the next year talks about how the Tigers can repeat. Sound familiar USC? Ok we all know what that will never happen. The national media won't ever unglue their lips from USC's ass.
