I was thinking today that there are a lot of ways you could categorize songs about Louisiana: 1. Top 5 songs from Louisiana musicians (all-time). 2. Top 5 songs that reference Louisiana or Nola (including those that make you think of La. like Born on the Bayou). There are so many that reference New Orleans in some way. 3. Top 5 specific to New Orleans musicians. 4. Top 5 of the more current music (including the Acadiana area like Lost Bayou Ramblers). I'd be interested to hear of any lists as I probably need some help to create my own.
