Just got back from casting my vote.

    This is from the news:

Commentators said turnout in Louisiana was likely to be between 10 and 15 percent of the electorate at best.

Pretty weak prediction. It'd be nice to prove it wrong.

Today's vote in Louisiana is especially important for registered Democrats, being that 66 Louisiana delegates to the Democratic National Convention are at stake in the vote today (and Senator Obama and Senator Clinton are currently running neck-and-neck). Senator Obama came to Louisiana two days ago to campaign, and Senator Clinton had her husband come to Louisiana yesterday to campaign for her. Other Democrats on the ballot included Biden, Dodd, Edwards, Kucinich, and Richardson.

As for registered Republicans, the choices were Giuliani, Huckabee, McCain, Paul, Romney, Thompson, Curry, Gilbert, Hunter, Keyes and Tancredo.

I believe you've got 3 more hours to get your butt down the corner and go cast your vote -- unless of course you want to vote for someone other than McCain or Obama -- in that case, just sit at home and relax :)

I voted (Obama). just some podunk civil code changes in my area

As much as I wanted Paul to do well, im glad i didnt change my party affiliation , seeing as how close it is on the dem side.

btw, current estimates are 357,000ish for dems; 160,000ish reps. about %10 of the population.

Someone that I know that worked at the polls said they were expecting 7%, but ended up getting more like 30%+.

Glad Pinnacle passed. We have the contract to do their site design. :D

Obama easily won, 57-36 percent. Huckabee narrowly beat McCain, 43-42 percent.

Pinnacle passed 56 to 44 with record turnout of almost 40% in EBR.

Turnout was heavier than normal for a presidential primary. Typically, we get single digit turnout. They are saying we got over 20%. Not bad considering candidates ignore Louisiana and the republican vote don't count unless someone gets over 50%.

    2/3 ain't bad.

I actually like Huckabee as a guy, just not so much as a politician. Although, I do like him better than Romney...not that I have to worry about him anyway.

I'm pretty shocked that Obama won so handily. I guess LA voters are more chauvinistic than racist. :hihi:

I'm a bit ashamed that Huckabee won LA.
