Louisiana invests 7 million into The Football Network...

    and now comes the news that they will soon begin to lay off employees...

    SEVEN MILLION DOLLARS, and totally revamping the new business center at Bonne Carre, which they were supposed to be the anchor tenant of...

    The only thing I can point to is the recent development of, "The NFL Network", which probably took a lot of wind away from their sails as far as their ability to land programming on local cable systems across the United States.

    But, layoffs before they even get on Cox's local lineup fulltime? I smell a money grab/scandal on our hands...

    What happen to T-Bills and T-Notes for state investments? That's absolutely ridiculous to invest our money in some start-up venture. Government shouldn't be investors in commercial enterprises in the first place.
    We don't elect a treasurer anymore, do we - who is the treasurer, btw?
    I agree - it stinks to high heaven
