Gotta admit, I have been surfing our rival boards and there is a lot of love for what LSU has accomplished. Tidefans.com has tons of posts supporting LSU, saying USC is a joke and that the 48 writers who annointed USC champs are buffoons. WEN had a sticky thread requesting the Auburn faithful come over and say congrats. I know we sometimes get all hyped up about our rivals. But I have learned one thing. The SEC (West for sure) are like fighting brothers. Sure we fight in the yard, but when one does well and someone else is being a jerk to the Family. We stick together. I dont know I just think its pretty darn cool seeing our rival fans say congrats, LSU is the champs, etc etc. Shows a ton of class. Something all of us could use from time to time. Nice ! Remember, the message board posters are not really representative of all fans. It bugs me that EVERY board has their "troublemakers" who hurt the overall reputation of the board and the school.
Sure its not everyone of them. Some of them have their "Well its not us so I will bash it" syndrome. But I have been very impressed with Tidefans.com and WEN. Our traditional rivals and many of them have had some heated posts about LSU here and there. BUT when it was over they are in our camp. I just think it says alot. Also I really thought it was cool (I was there) when Ole Miss won the Cotton Bowl their team went to their fan sections end zone and started chanting SEC. And the Fans joined in. It shows how the SEC is the best conference in the nation, with the greatest fans...
