LSU vs OSU I rarely post here. I've been a member since like 2003 (and yes i know im not a contributor), but I just never started posting. I love reading everyone's discussions though. I have my favorites, and least favorites. I've lived in Ohio for a few years, and for those of you who have been paying attention...OSU has been ranked in the top 5 for the past few years. I've had to listen to Ohio State this, and Ohio State that. Sometimes it doesn't bother me. Sometimes it does. This is one of the times it does. I know most of us hate USC and ND because of the media bias they receive, but up here in Ohio I've realized there is at least one more media darling: The Ohio State University. I know that a couple of the other posters here are from Ohio so I'm sure that you'll appreciate what I'm about to post. My friend sent me a message yesterday starting to talk trash about LSU and OSU. Normally I let all this trash talk slide right past me. This time I couldn't. Here we go. HIM: Cory, hey how u doing?!?!?! O by the way just in case u havent looked at the BCS standings today....1. OHIO STATE 2. SOUTH FLORIDA 3. BOSTON COLLEGE 4. LSU !!!! What happened I thought LSU with Glenn Dorsey and all had the best Defense!! O well looks like OSU will be playing in the National Title game for the Second Straight yr!!! ME: if by playing in the national championship for the second straight year you mean "being in the national championship game and getting embarrassed" for the second straight year, you might be correct. however OSU isnt out of the woods yet. theres no guarantee theyre going undefeated either. i mean they have to beat a whole lot of good teams still......oh wait no they dont. they play in the big ten. nevermind. for a second i thought they played in a real conference like the SEC. HIM: Big Ten, Sec, Pac Ten , Big East, ACC, Mountain West whatever!! Football is football conferences are just to keep organized and Just like in any other sport some teams are going to better than other along with the "leagues" Year after Year Tressel has it guys in the top 5! Yes Last year he had a great offense and SO SO Defense!! LSU thanks to some luck but mostly Jamarcus Russel SURPRISED ALOT of ppl!! Ohio State Didnt have a BONAFIDE QB this yr, Todd Boeckman pick up right where Smith Left off!! Flynn is now showing why He BACKED UP RUSSEL and NEVER PLAYED WHEN RUSSEL WAS HEALTHYY!! WE reload u guys are just LUCKYY!!! THANKS FOR TYRING!!! ME: i wish i was another delusional koolaide drinking product of the media like ohio state fans. its easy to think youre good when nobody ever tells you else wise. you sound an awful lot like a USC fan, guy. oh yeah. and i think its awfully funny that you say the only reason LSU was good, was because of Jamarcus. arent you the guy who is always telling me that the only reason OSU lost to Florida is because they were missing Ted "I couldn't be more over-rated if i tried" Ginn? you cant have it both ways there. By your logic the only reason OSU was good is because of Ted Ginn and Troy "i won the heisman by accident" Smith. LSU reloaded. check the roster. check the NFL draft. You dont put 4 first rounders in the NFL and still end up a top 5 team the next year by luck. And as long as were on the subject....didnt Tressel lose to South Carolina?????? in the what????? the FREAKING OUTBACK BOWL????!!!!! come talk to me about being in the top 5 when OSU loses two games this year and LSU is holding the crystal ball down in the bayou. :crystal: :crystal: LSU! :lsup: LSU! :crystal: :crystal:
Thanks. It gets tough up here sometimes. And in case yall were wondering...this all transpired last night and he has still yet to respond to me. I know he read it, but seeing as how I only speak the truth, he has nothing to say.
Congratulate him on their schedule. They're doing everything possible to schedule the most BCS friendly teams possible. By that, necessary conference games and high school teams that could only beat Michigan.
As someone who spent some of my childhood in Ohio: Move out of that depressing dump as soon as possible. Cleveland (with the possible exception of Detroit) is the worst big city in America.
I feel your pain having been in Cincy for 4 1/2 years now. What's worse is I live across the Ohio River in Northern Kentucky so not only do I have to put up with the "Go Bucs" crowd, but now I have to listen to smack from the UK fans after Saturday's loss, most of whom did not even know they had a football team until it was announced at Friday night's midnite madness event for their beloved basketball program.:geauxtige
I was once lost in Ohio, i lived there until i transferred to LSU this past fall. Whenever an Ohio State fan would talk smack to me I would ask them what their record is against the SEC in bowl games (Games that matter)...it usually ends in silence... Ohio State has a great team and a coach I hate to root against because he's such a great guy. Nonetheless they did get smacked around by UF. That should say enough. I'm rooting for an Ohio State-LSU matchup in the title game because I'm so excited at what we could do to them compared to what a one-loss UF team did to their unstoppable team last year. And when dealing with Michigan fans ask them how many consensus National Titles they have since World War II. Or their record in the Rose Bowl :thumb:
