1. What happened to Craig Davis? He didn't seem to be out there at the end, we could've used a guy who is (usually) our most sure handed receiver. We couldn't get anything done over the middle.
  2. Good question, you reckon he can be QB and catch the ball too?
  3. Meh. No, but I think JR always looks more comfortable out ther with Buster. He seems to always look his way when the pressure is getting to him.
  4. It is sad to see so many people wanting the coaches heads after this game. I understand there was some bonehead calls on there part but the fact of the matter is there are always some bonehead calls by coaches even Saban made a few each game.

The reason we loss this game is the simple fact that emotion can only care you so far before it gives way.

These guys bless their hearts left it on the field but just didnt have enough to play the second half.

It wasnt the play calling on defense that was bad in the second half it was the Defensive players not being able to get the plays right for whatever reason. In the second half proably do to fatigue we were always late to lining up on the ball and most of the time players were trying to figure out their responsiblities as the ball was being snapped.

No one is at fault here, we played as well as can be expected for only our 2nd game and after the emotional weight these kids have had to care.
  5. You're wasting your breath here tonight. We're all experts right now.:dis:
  6. Are you serious??? We lost this game because Phat Phil out coached Miles by a mile. We won the first half on talent alone even with the conservative play calling and tons of penalties. Then came halftime and Phat Phil took Miles behind the wood shed. This coaching staff leaves a lot to be desired, they took a more talented team with a 21 point half time lead and coached them to a loss.
  7. Ok BTW this is NCAA DIV 1 football top ten stuff here, these "kids" are playing. right or wrong it's a big deal. To the fans, the school, to the recruits, for recognition, for money etc.. etc.. might be wrong but that's the way it is.

and yeah they were tired, and emotional, I agree with alot of things you're saying, ......but never the less, that's how they seperate the winners from the losers.... the score, not the "emotional weight carried" It'd be nice if they did, but they dont.

  8. The point I was trying to make was that everyone here tonight is putting this on the coaches and their play calling and from the tv you got a great look at the defence in the 4th q seeming to be so tired they could not play anymore. How can you coach a player and make him play better when he has already spent everything that he has.

The coaches put in a scheme but when the players are dead and miss their assignments its not the coaches fault.
  9. Well seriously if you want my opinion, I think we started losing when we were up 21-0 and Clumsen came in and worked our corners. We weren't tired and it was a lame off the ball defense. Either that or our players just really suck at pass defense and I am in denial. which is it?

yes they were tired later, blame that on Jamarcus and Fisher and what the hell Miles too. for not keeping the offense moving and giving the defense a break.
  10. Easy just come up with something better than run run pass punt when you have one of the most talented offenses in the country and your defense will not be as tired in the 4th. The Tennessee defensive coaching staff had to be laughing their a$$es off at the conservative and predictable play calling in the 2nd half. With the #1 rated WR grup in the country and a QB that can throw it from endzone to endzone and you throw one deep ball the entire game? Charlie Weiss said it well in his post game press conference last week that the deeper you throw the ball the less important accuracy is. With the speed and athleticism we have at WR we should at least throw a handfull of deep balls just to keep the D honest. That was the most predictible offense I have seen since Dinardo and I'm not talking about just LSU football but in all of the NCAA.
