That's a more than decent non-conference schedule. V-tech, BYU, Colorado State and Notre Dame all should have at least decent records (.500 or better). Look for Notre Dame to rebound.

Their conference still sucks big time and thats what hurts them the most.

WEll their conference is a joke but their OOC is pretty solid. I mean all of those teams are better then Arkansas State... No D2 schools, pretty decent schedule except for that joke of a conference of theirs.

They can only play who is in their conference.. but USC in the SEC will have 3-4 losses next year....

    The PAC-10 just stinks overall...

and Notre Dame is middle of the road. BYU is crap. Colorado State is OK but no real improvement over Troy State.

My point was not their OOC schedule. It's their overall schedule compared to any SEC team or most any Big XII or Big 10 school. WEEEEAAAAK.

    well

not to play devil's advocate but that is a very decent schedule as Utah was very good defensively just not sure who returns but pretty solid team.

Va Tech--not the same team we played couple yrs back but still Va Tech.

BYU--way overrated last yr but usually tough at home vs anyone over the last decade or 2. should improve if they can find any kind of offense.

Stanford---not sure what they have now.

CSU and Sonny Lubick are always a game team.

Cal with Tedford are definitely on the way up. he is an up and comer.

Was St always with firepower on offense but no d like most pac 10 teams.

Oreg St--- hard to replace jackson at RB but return a lot of weapons. may have had as much talent to compete last yr in pac 10 as anyone but need some discipline. we will know before them.

Notre Dame? Ty Willingham very good coach but they need some speed dont you think? maybe he can get in some of his recruits. fans had way too high of expectations after his miracle in his first year. he had better talent at stanford.

all in all a decent schedule and the pac 10 has to be better than last yr with a couple of surprises...possibly by Cal and Oreg St. If pac 10 ends up in top half of the major conferences, this could end up being a mid to high SOS.

the PAC 10's SOS will go up due to the road game component being added, and they proved in the bowl games that they weren't as bad as people thought while the Big 12 proved just the opposite. Guess OU's strength of schedule would have went down a lot after the bowl games were finished.

You think USC would want to trade schedules?

LSU, with our pass defense (and overall defense) walks through the PAC-10. We shall see what a good PAC-10 team OSU can do come Sept.

Cal will be a contender. Right now they're ranked #11 preseason. I didn't expect them to be so high, but I did expect them to be at least in the top 25. The only problem now is that USC has it in for them. Hopefully they'll pull off the upset again for us.

Has anyone been to the USC Rivals board recently? They're saying a bunch of BS on how USC confronted LSU about playing them this coming year and we turned them down. Wasn't it the other way around???? They also said Pete Caroll called out LSU on ESPN, but LSU didn't stand up. What the hell is that about?
