Yes, he called Ms. Moorhouse. Her summary of the conversation to us was that he basically said that he saw us in the stands and on the field before pregame and he said he felt bad for never really formally saying goodbye to us. He always spoke to us in our preseason week and he said he missed talking to us this year. She said that he was very complimentary to us and he was just proud to see us in the stands again. Apparently he discreetly tried to wave to us when he came out. It was just one of those things where you never really know what you have until you lose it.... His preseason talks to us were always incredible. The band felt honored for him to be there (with us always giving him a standing ovation), and he'd always have a rebuttal that he would be honored to be able to speak to us. He's a good man.
I miss that guy, I heard that story on another site. They said he sounded sincere, maybe even a little homesick. Cool story.
I never mentioned it here because I got scared when Ms. Moorhouse mentioned this website at practice. She basically quoted one of my posts about us not taking for granted what Tiger Band has.... :thumb:
Nick sound like a good guy. My only exposure to him was on TV, but I liked him. Sounds like behind the scenes, he was even better! I wish him well.
