It was a great game and I have nothing but respect for your team and its coaches. The LSU fans who sat next to me (Sec. 99, row 21, the woman had on purple tiger ears) were very nice folks from Atlanta and we had a nice exchange going throughout the game. It was a classic defensive struggle that could've gone either way, and my hat is off to the LSU players for playing 60 minutes of football.
BIG win for Auburn and a great addition to the rivalry. As I've said many times, I will take a road loss in a thrilling game like that over spanking inferior competition all year in some other conference. I love the SEC and losses come with the territory because perfection is nearly impossible in this conference because the talent level is so high. I love the SEC and Saturday, although tough to swallow, reminded me of that... Respect and congrats to Auburn because they earned it!
I wish some of you Auburn fans would stop making classy posts. It makes it harder to keep on hating you.
Do you really think your team has what it takes to propel you to the next level this year? Can you beat Tennessee, GA and Alabama all in the same year after having beat LSU? Should be interesting to see.
It was a great addition to the rivalry and a change from the past few years when the games have been heated, but not close. Can't wait to get Auburn at home next year!!! Thanks for the post wes.
I don't know. Based on how people are playing right now, I like our chances. But the UT game in Knoxville will be very tough. Both of those young QBs are looking really good. And UGA probably has the second best defense we'll face this year (after you guys). I do think that if there ever was a year to do it, this is it. No one looks dominant. It's there for the taking.
The only problem with that logic is that you look far from dominant as well, which probably means you lose 1 or 2 the rest of the way. It will be exciting, that's for damn sure.
