Here's a weird story ... at least I think so. In the early part of last week I deleted the Tapa add-on for RTB. One reason behind that is I had that pop-up that shows up every time I'd visit. Understand, I clear my history, data, cache, etc. every time I close my browser so I have to log in every time I go to my site. Well, as it ends up someone starts bitching about it. So, after considering it a few days I decided to add it back in because a few people had asked for it to be reinstalled (politely, mind you.) At first I told them the software, like here, is responsive so you don't need an app like Tapa to participate. Secondly, I looked at the traffic numbers and out of the 1.5 million plus page views I'd had by the middle of the month only .0016... had accessed the site using Tapa. Now, I figured I could go into the templates and just edit them so the pop-up didn't show up anymore. That was easy enough to do. It's what was in the code that made me chuckle a bit. You guys know how the state of Alabama is viewed in relation to the Bible belt of the South: right smack dab in the middle, right? It's an app that is written and hosted by atheistfoundation.org How many of these people bitching about it being gone find themselves sitting in a pew on Sunday morning? How are these people going to feel, or what will they think, when they find out they're supporting AtheistFoundation.org? It's left me smirking and shaking my head a bit... Here's the code that, once removed, would eliminate the pop-up Code: <script type="text/javascript" src="mobiquo/tapatalkdetect.js"></script>
