A new article on High Times Magazine's website (magazine dedicated to marijuana, in case you didn't know) named, "Help, I'm stoned, who should I vote for?" LINK: http://www.hightimes.com/ht/news/content.php?bid=278&aid=4 The first paragraph (edited) reads, "If you like the job George W. Bush is doing as President, you should go ahead and vote for him. But if you ask HIGH TIMES, that's a bad idea. We think he lied about Iraq being a war of last resort, and that's too big a lie to let pass. But first, stop and think about America's other war, the one we're fighting (and losing): The War on Drugs." It's obvious that drug users would prefer a liberal president. Republicans probably shouldn't worry much though, these people will be to stoned, sitting on their couch eating cheetos to get up and vote. It does bring a good question though, what do ya'll think of the war on drugs? Its also a war that won't ever end and can't be won. I personally hate seeing people convicted of murder get 2 years of jail time with a plea bargain - only to see some pot smoking kid who's never hurt anybody get 10 years in prison.
the drug war is a huge mistake and should be stopped immediately. every person in jail for drugs should be released. illegal drugs is like prohibition of alcohol. it causes more problems than it solves. if you really really want to learn about this, read a book called "saying yes" by jacob sullum.
Well, use of drugs and drug dealers are different stories. I'm not convinced that drug dealers shouldn't be in jail. I have, however, heard lots of people talk of free market drugs and am not sure wether it would work. It's a good idea, but so was Communism on paper.
That's all, 2 years? Hell, I have a few things to take care of...... When's the last time a kid got 10 years for smoking a bowl? I believe you would have to be a drug dealer or be one hell of a repeat offender on probation.
if use of drugs isnt wrong, then why would it be wrong to sell drugs? it isnt my job to tell you to not sell or do drugs. i encourage you to do as many drugs as you want. if i want to snort coke off a hooker's tit, i should be allowed. thats good times. i dont pay tax dollars so that my government can waste billions stopping people from doing awesome things like drugs. even if drugs killed lots of users, so what, it isnt my responsibility. if people wanna snort coke until they have a heart attack, they can be my guest. i dont wanna be babysitting everyone, making it ilegal for them to have awesome drug parties. freedom, capitalism. the rights of the people to buy and sell whatever they choose. dont we care about that? isnt freedom the most important issue of all? the right to do as we choose? the right to kill ourselves with drugs?
I'd like to be able to sell my kidney.. or better yet when I die I'd like my estate to be able to sell my organs to the highest bidder... except for the liver I'd felt bad if someone bought that piece of sh!t.
While we can buy and sell anything I have another request.. If i hook up with some skank one night and we produce a kid.. I think I should be able to sell the kid too. I know a lady who paid a lawyer 50K to get her a kid from Central America. I would think 30K for an American baby would be a pretty good deal.
I was trying to be politically correct... It took all I had not to call them 'banana babies'. That's not a monkey/race reference either. It's a they grow a freaking azz load of banana's down there reference.
