    Yea I hope Obama is as good a President as Billy boy was. I think we see what "talking" with our enemies will accomplish. All talk, and no action.

    You're kind of confused, aren't you. First you criticise Clinton for not negitiating with terrorists and making concessions to Sudan to "get" bin Ladin and then you bemoan what bad things happen when you talk with terrorists!. Well, which is it?

    And you list as "evidence" the opinons of republicans Caspar Weinberger and Newt Gingrich and Vlaimir Putin the Communist President of Russia!

    I can see that you never read the conclusions of the 9/11 commission. You might find it interesting. You might also read the book by Richard Clark, the White House counterterrorism expert under Clinton and Bush . . . or the book by Michael Scheuer, head of the CIA's bin Ladin unit. These are people who actually knew what was going on and don't have a political ax to grind. Clinton gets some criticism, but the lions share goes to Bush.

    Clinton tried to kill bin Ladin twice with cruise missile strikes in Afghanistan. Until 9/11 Bush did nothing at all to take action against bin Ladin, not even retaliating for the USS Cole bombing.

    Well red, since you are the ONLY person on tiger forums that knows anything...I have changed my mind. I will vote for Obama! He will be the greatest President of all time. He will end the war, spread the wealth, kiss a$$ to our enemies, kill Bin Ladin, erase the national deficit, not raise taxes, etc. WTF was i thinking.

    Calling a hostile nation first and telling them that we're sending in a couple of missiles doesn't qualify as attempting to kill obama...err, osama. There is a reason osama decided at the last minute not to visit the terrorist camp that night...he was warned.

    We can thank our "good friends" the Pakistanis for that. The missiles had to overfly Pakistan to reach Afghnaistan, so our "allies" were given a couple of hours notice so they wouldn't try to shoot them down and that was enough for the islamist elements in the Pakistani military to warn the Taliban.

    The Paks still warn the Taliban, which is why the Predator strikes we're now conducting in the tribal areas of Pakistan are covert. They hate it that we don't ask permission anymore, but they cannot be trusted.

    I definitely have an opinion on everything. So what?

    Most of the rest of you are knowledgeable and articulate. There are a few that just fold at the slightest criticism and become sardonic.
