The Texas Longhorns are just too good and too strong to beat. They have the best starting pitching, the best bullpen (thanks to 1 pitcher), and right now are hitting on all cylinders offensively. The rest of us are fighting to see who will lose 2 straight to this team in the title series. Just being realistic, not pessimistic.
Thats what they said about Stanford before LSU beat them in 2000. It dosen't look real good right now but baseball is a funny game and any team can get hot for a few games and any team can turn ice cold for a few games. Just look at Tampa Bay winning 11 in a row. If the Tigers can somehow make it to the championship series anything can happen.
With LSUs hitting anything is possible just not probable. Never say never I think its bad to think that way even though its not very realistic. if that was one of your boys playing or coaching youd have hope, trust me.
Like I said, baseball is a funny game. Even the Dawgs could end up winning it all. It ain't over till the fat lady sings.
Texas will win our bracket. I am realistic. We dont have the pitching to beat them....look what happened to our #1 tonight? On the other hand, USC-LSU-Miami-CSF could all beat Texas twice...IMO...more depth at hitting then us.
I do agree that baseball is the most unpredictable sport there is. I will say this much. If Mestepay is nails tomorrow, then I say LSU has the chance to do it. We need a dominant pitcher going into the series vs. Texas.
