Big Games this weekend. 1. LSU 31 - Georgia 20. LSU is finally hitting on all cylinders and Jawja underestimates them. 2. Ohio State 28 - Bowling Green 24. Ohio state will prevail. They always seem to. 3. Auburn - Open Date. Auburn will not score a touchdown. 4. Florida 31 - Tennessee 17. Florida will win. Something ain't right at Tennessee. 5. Oregon 21 - Michigan 20 . Michigan stumbles into the upset. Who am I forgetting?
I agree with every one of your picks and every one of the reasons. What's the spread on OSU and Bowling Green? I might want to place a wager on that baby.
Agree with all but #5. Michigan looks to be having one of those years they put together every decade or so. Plus, I'm just not convinced by Oregon. In any event, it's a great weekend to be a football fan.
I dont think so. I say Michigan rolls. Oregon looks average to me. How about these: Miami at BC Arizona State at Iowa Colorado at FSU Northern Illinois at Alabama (hey, they did beat Maryland)
BC plays Miami tight every year lately. I think this may be the Eagles year if the game is at BC. Lets hope so...that means we will move up more after we beat the dawgs
Thats kinda what Im thinking. I think Iowa handles ASU, FSU clobbers Colorado, and Alabama wins a "game wasnt as close as the score" game.
UGA fans, esp. the stupid ones under estimate the Tigers. I guarantee you that Coach Richt and the players do not. This game is HUGE for both teams. A loss will kill neither, but a win will clearly make that team the leader in the SEC. In thirty two years of being a UGA season ticket holder, I don't think I have ever been so anxious about a game. It should go down as a classic and I am not about to make a call... As for the other games you predicted... who cares! This is the only one that counts.
I'll weigh in here... Florida 28 Tenn 20 ... Vols just aren't all that any more Oklahoma 38 UCLA 0 ... UCLA has no offense. Sooner defense might score as much as their offense Fla State 38 Colorado 10 ... How badly does Colorado suck, especially with the injuries Michigan 42 Oregon 21 ... Pac 10, Schmac 10 Miami 27 BC 21 ... Always close, but Brock brings Canes back from behind in 4th quarter Houston 38 Mississippi State 35 ... Sherril may be history after this season - Miss St. worse than Colorado Texas 66 Rice 0 ... Poor Rice. They didn't stand a chance anyway, but this not a good time to catch the horns Ohio State 30 Bowling Green 10 ... they actually won't need to pull this one out of their ASS GA Tech 31 Clemson 17 ... Clemson sucks toolame 23 Army 13 ... C'mon, it's friggin' ARMY Noter Lame 17 Mich State 16 ... Much as I love to see the flailing Irish lose... Kentucky 31 Indiana 28 ... Gerry forgot how to coach a few years ago Bammer 37 N. Illinois 13 ... N. Illinois not nearly as good as W. illinois TCU 27 Vandy 20 ... Vandy doesn't actually HAVE a football team any more, do they? Arkansas 20 North Texas 17 ... Texas hangover and... :lsug: 13 Georgia 10 ... Good, old-fashioned defensive slugfest :geaux:
What about Mississippi State at Houston. If State loses will Jackie be fired now---Ott said if Houston beats State that Jackie may not get back on the plane. I think what he was really saying is that he will be fired at the end of the season; I just cant see them firing him after game number 3. The SEC site has MSU having defeated Oregon in week one---I thought Oregon won that--am I wrong or is the www.secsprts.com wrong. Any way I say LSU beats UGA by 7
