We're supposed to feel sorry for 900,000 "small business" owners who earn over $200,000 per year? Where should we do our crying for them? Standing on the sidewalks in front of their posh suburban homes?

You might argue all day long about the fairness of taxing those people at higher rates, but please don't try to get me to feel sorry for them. It won't work!

BTW, those 900K are only one third of one percent of our population.

Since it looks like you've got the figures handy, what percent of the population do the 900K employ? What is the direct impact of these 900K on the US economy?

Yeah, you're absolutely right, Comrade Rex. After all, what do those small business owners contribute to society anyway, right? Imagine the nerve of them working hard and building better lives for themselves, when there are people out there who don't have that same gumption or work ethic who would like some of that 200K. We should confiscate all of their property and collectivize it for the betterment of the proletariat...right?

rich, poor or somewhere in between, we should all pay the same percentage on taxes. I don't think the top 1% should pay a lower percentage........

Interesting point. But if you pay 30% and make $30,000.00, and Bill Gates pays 30% of what he makes, aren't you in effect paying more, because the value of $1 to you would be much greater than the value of $1 to him?

I missed the buffet today. maybe gman and myself can make one tomorrow.

Reading your threads/responses teaches me why I will never be a republican. You have no sense of your surroundings and you live in a bottle, imo.

I post about MLK, no response.. says alot about your personality.

as far as the taxes......I don't care if you sell lemonade or own microsoft..

Plus, I don't recall anyone saying the rich should pay a lower percentage than the lower tax brackets. Where did you get that from?
