the attempt by ESPN to humiliate and laugh off our Tigers last year with their segment on "Boudreauxs Butt Paste",when they come down THIS year they need to KNOW they are in the backyard of THE DEFENDING COLLEGE FOOTBALL NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. Anything less than an attitude of respect for the team and some cowtowing to the fans will be unacceptable. I don't care how big ESPN thinks they are, they are in OUR back yard. They also need to realize there is something called "life" outside of their studios in nowhere Conn. If I could be there I would, but I leave it up to everyone who is there to let these clowns know that we give them the best hospitality in the world when they come down. They should know that it is not an endless supply. Every time I think about that segment they did last year it gives me the redass. OK, I'm better now.     :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux:
You can find disrespect everywhere if you go looking for it. If you and other LSU fans go making an ass of themselves when ESPN or other national broadcasts are on campus the only thing that does is feed the fire for those who thnk all LSU fans are drunk idiots. It keeps producers from wanting to come back and gives the commentators a sour taste for LSU in general. So you can go out there and let them know that ... or you could just be respectful and let the team earn their respect with Ws.
So what ... they hate us again ... big deal They'll eat another **** sandwich and we'll win another NC
Personally, I have never understood...... the excitement over having ESPN Gameday on campus in the 1st place. Maybe I'm missing something but to me they add nothing to LSU or the LSU gameday atmosphere. The fact is that Herbstreit is an Ohio State/Big10 homer; Corso is a clown who washed out as a head coach; and Fowler is a dime a dozen sports announcer. WHOOPIE!!!! They are coming to Baton Rouge........wow.
                                                                             I agree
LSU wasn't the only school to get that tongue-n-cheek segment run last year. Being that I was in AIT and not tailgating I got to see all of the gameday shows from start to finish, and there were a few segments like that. It was something new they were trying to spice things up thats all. And as much as they are idiots it is great for LSu and the city of baton Rouge to have these guys come down. now if you really want to bitch and boycott somebody how about the *******s from J.P., with their 4 hour games and bias announcers. They take games and put them on at that god awful time of 11:00 am. if we are gonna complain lets run them outta town.
The team got the wins last year but got no respect. As far as "drunken fan" no I'm not there. code monkey, you lost what I was attempting to post. Does not matter. By the way, I reallly get tired of your posting ip addresses. Give it a break *******.
I actually found the butt paste thing funny. i also think its funny that those fools dont realize that baton rouge is not a cajun city. yes, there are cajuns in baton rouge, just as there are a few swamps, but playing cajun music while showing footage of a swamp everytime they come back from commercial is annoying. if baton rouge has any prevailing culture, it would probably be that of southern blacks. if they are catering to whites in the b. r. area, they are bit more country than anything else.
I see you still haven't gone for that colonic.. be sure to tell the doc not to stop till he hits the top of your skull because it sounds like you have some crap lodged between your ears. After your colonic why don't you put down your moonshine long enough to go to the local library, you know the place with all the books, and brush up on your reading comprehension skills. What I said was "It feeds those who think all LSU fans are drunken idiots". I never said you were one, but if the shoe fits enjoy it.
Yeah, it's called a pulse. Gameday isn't about the clowns that come to our campus, it's about the national exposure. In case you didn't know, it's good for our program.
