Good stuff. The only one I don't really get is this one. It's not like Cam Newton was out there this year. Maybe to say National Champion Programs would put it in better perspective.
But you have to figure teams that recently won national championships are most likely perennial powers. Still a fun fact.
That it is and Les deserves any praise he gets after the way many of us (including myself) treated him on these forums, etc.
So what was the answer to the trivia question the other night? I got sidetracked with something and missed when they gave the answer. I believe it was the only 2 LSU coaches to beat bama 5 times?
I include myself in that mix. Whatever issues he had in the past (DC, OC, clock management) has now been taken care of and that's a sign of a great and humble leader.
Les is the only rookie SEC coach to ever take him team to the SECCG . . . and that was with three games moved by Katrina.
I think it is a good fact because how many other teams have this sort of accomplishment in one season? Add to it beating last year's NC runner-up, as well as 9 ranked teams this year. If people are going to discuss "the body of work", then the fact seems relevant to me. Good job!
