Late night humor on Monday...Ole Miss "runts"!

I hate ole miss, but that pisses me off. Trev Alberts is a moron and his commentary is an insult to the game of football itself. Did Trev not see Ole Miss just go down to the wire with a team contending for a Nat. Championship? If he's calling them runts then what in the hell are we? We barely beat the "runts". Does anyone have a link to an article where they explain the context in which he said this? Maybe I'm just taking it out of context.

 

No, you're not...I can't believe you haven't heard of this...

He gave one of his Socratic-esque "I grew up on a farm" allegories last night saying that no matter what kind of talent you gave a program like Ole Miss-even a talent like Eli Manning-it would always end up a day late and a dollar short at the end of the day...

Basically said, "Once a runt, always a runt."

 

That's the dumbest metaphor I've ever heard. Really, I'm not lying. How does that even come close to unbiased commentary? Hell, I could even live with the bias if it was based on facts or logic in any way.

 

I agree, Ole Miss would have beaten Ohio St, Miami, Fla State, Fla again, Georgia, Tennessee playing the way they played Saturday. Their D stepped it up and Trev is an idiot. Sure, Ole Miss program is weaker than most in the SEC but they have been bowling for a few years, and were even denied a bowl with 7 wins a few years ago. We don't need this rival getting stepped on nationally, theyve been beat up enough over the last few years. They are like the opposite of the 'Barn. Anti-media darlings.

Ole Miss is the RUNT of the SEC west in lieu of MSU's recent SEC West Championship (1990--->present).

I liked Cutcliff's reply ... says it all. Trev Alberts and the rest of the talking heads are trying to show that LSU's win "over a runt" was NOTHING.

um....Ole Miss has a better football program/history than Miss State. I don't care if MOO U went to the SECCG a while back.


If I need advice on which Miss football school has a better football program, Ole Miss or Miss State, I'll ask any SEC fan around the south........

If I need advice on how to fix the broken slurpee machine over there by the beef jerky and the key chains, I will ask you.
