Rumors...I know, another one....Larry Porter is on the short list for FSUs RB position. This is just for informational purposes cause being on a short list is meaningless...but lord....alot of programs are looking closely at the Tiger program. We must be doing something right :crystal::champs:

Porter followed Miles here from Oklahoma St. He obviously doesn't have the philosophy differences with him as Jimbo & Searles did, so for him to take the same position with a different school makes no sense.

This thread title looks too much like Harry Potter.

fyi .... Neal McReady (on 105.5 radio) is reported to have stated that Bo Pelini is the lead candidate for the HC position at Minnesota , as of this morning. Can anyone confirm?

He is certainly interested in it. I don't know whether or not he has interviewed for it. I hope we don't lose Bo. That would be a disaster considering the coaching loses we have suffered already, not to mention the player loses. If we lose Bo too LSU's 2007 pre-season stock will plummet.

He has been linked to the Minn job - we have heard that before. Tiger Nation has its collective fingers crossed, hoping that he does not choose to try to fill the huge shoes that Craig T Nelson left behind.

Knowing the impact of losing both coordinators, and the relationship with Miles - I am hoping Bo sticks around for at least another year.

I'm fairly certain that is common knowledge, but the Minnesota program has been on a plan of steady improvement the past several years and they've looked good lately (by Big 10 standards :hihi: )

Also, us old-timers recognize and respect the tradition at Minnesota ..... they were once the top power in all of football.:thumb:

If Bo were offered the job, he should take it. He wants to be a head coach. This is a head coaching position at a BCS Div 1 school. He can't turn that down... That being said, I have heard nothing about him being the leading candidate or even him being interviewed yet.

What makes you think he wants a southern school? He's from up north and would like to return.
