Word is that NFL scouts are looking at 11 Tiger seniors and 3 juniors. I think that 8 or 9 seniors will be drafted and possibly 1 junior. That would be Landry--Bowe and Davis need to polish their game a bit more for the NFL.
You are exactly right about the fans reaction if he were to bat it down. Upon review, I think his earlier "dropped" interception was to me like a tip; he reached out his hand in an awkward angle that was not favorable for a catch. I also believe that in the game situation for any safety, if the ball was coming right at you on 4th down, one would probably have tried to grab the ball rather than batting it down, which would have been better. However, he made up by running the ball back out away from the goal line. He is one of my all time favorite and consistent player. I am afraid he would go after this season as he has nothing more to proof; and he should be a high draft choice.( He reminds me of Ronnie Lott somehow) ________ FAKE WEED
What was boneheaded is that he ran it out of the endzone. He should have kneeled down in the endzone. If he fumbles the ball LSU loses because arkansas wins with a chip shot field goal. It WAS a boneheaded play for him to run out, make the interception if you want but fall down in the endzone.
I was pretty lit yesterday, but I am pretty sure he intercepted it around the 10 or 15 yard line, not in the endzone. Haven't watched the replay yet, so maybe my eyes were messin with me.
Well he still needed to fall down, don't you guys think? They have 0 timeouts, all we have to do is kneel it. He fumbles and we lose.
Yes. 1st choice: batting the ball down 2nd choice: catch and kneel 3rd choic: catch and successful run back, which provided some excitement but not necessary. It did took some more time off. But it was fun. Conclusion: it didn't matter either way ________ VAPORIZER VOLCANO
I definitely couldn't blame Laron if he leaves early even though I hope he stays because we could sure use him. With his position, there just isn't much higher he can go in the draft than where his stock is already at. Staying another year, he risks injury & looking worse because it will be a young defense.
I think if he heads to the NFL this year he will be picked in the mid to late second round. If he leaves after his senior year, he is a top 20 pick in the 1st round. Anybody know what the money difference in the 2 spots? I'm guessing it's millions.
Well it is different, but not by the millions you would think. Only problem with that is, usually only one safety a year is drafted in the first round. He wouldn't move up much really.
