Watching our Lady Tigers in action vs SMS and they're really playing sloppy. I know SMS has a pretty good women's team (they were in the NCAA's last year and were a Final 4 participant a few years back), but they're only 4-3 on the season so far. But SMS is playing at home and in front of a PACKED house, and they're feeling the energy. Game was tied at 47 just moments ago, but the Lady Tigers are on a 10-pt scoring run. 59-49, LSU up with 3:46 left to play.
We were getting jobbed by the refs for most of the 2nd half. Tigers had a little trouble with the zone but when SMS took the lead they ran off 16 in a row, mostly by freshmen. There is some serious talent and depth on this team. I like the way Pokey kept her cool when SMS (and the refs) made their run.
Pokey is a great coach! I like her alot. The future for the LSU Lady Tiger basketball program looks good!
LSU has a great team, deserving of #1....Too bad about Sabanfan, he must own a prosthesis shop...........He's always looking for a crutch.
