a bittersweet victory over #16 Georgia today...although we totally dominated in our first SEC game, LSU's all-american and national POY candidate Seimone Augustus was fouled hard on a breakaway lay-up and had to be taken the a local baton rouge hospital for x-rays on her elbow

let's pray she is okay and hope she can make it back to continue our lady tiger dominance

    #1 LSU 76 Georgia 52

She sure did look like she was in a lot of pain. I hope it is nothing serious as well, she means a lot to this women's team.

Was it her shooting elbow? I know you need both arms to shoot accurately, but she may be able to come back faster if it's her non-shooting elbow that's injured.

She was taken to Baton Rouge General for x-rays. I don't think that is a good sign. SHe was in a lot of pain when they were wheeling her out of the Dome.

I caught the last few minutes of the game and all I can say is, wow. They looked exceptionally sharp with their defense and fast breaks. I am very proud of this team. They showed how to finish a game strong even though they had a huge lead. Never quit.

I was really impressed at how well they continued to play even with Augustus out. It gives me hope that they will do fine even without her. I was also very impressed with the turnout of fans (10,624).

Pokey, share your notes with Brady.

I watched and enjoyed the lady tigers as well.
It was nice to see the Pmac alive and kicking, the women were amazing.

I think Pokey should be given a raise and coach the mens and the womens!

I think Pokey is doing a wonderful job, if she can use the recent success to reload with top talent the Lady Tigers may be in for one nice long run because Pokey is still young and this is her dream job.

Not that this is important... but I saw her at the mall not to long ago and said, "Chasey Pokeman" and she looked at me like I was crazy. I thought I had just mistaken her but uh, my friend mentioned the name was Pokey Chatman. Whoops.

I will ask my question again since no one's answered it yet. Was it her shooting elbow that was injured? I know you need both arms to shoot accurately, but she may be able to come back faster if it's her non-shooting elbow that's injured. Thanks :thumb:
