This guy is absolutely, 100% right. And it's sad/hilarious, that people think we went 10-1 or 11-0 every year. Or that LSU has that good ole divine right to being flawless (moreso than any other school.)
Ahhh he's just sucking up to get some playing time.:hihi: Really though, he's completely on point. There is no one way to be successful coach. There is a large misconception that a coach is apathetic just because he isn't throwing hissy fits and strangling his men everytime they screw up. How many times have you seen Bobby Bowden blow a gasket? And I'm very glad to see some players standing by the coach, especially after the less-than-credible reports circulating around here that the players hate Miles and Pelini.
I totally agree. There is more than one way to skin a cat. We just need to give everything time to settle in.
I like Kyle Williams. Players esp under saban weren't allowed to say much. I like to hear a player's point of view from time to time.
Kudo's to him. Now we'll get all of the posts about him not being able to say that under Saban and that is a bad sign and that he shouldn't call out any of the fans. Only the fans should be able to call out the players.
As an outsider looking in, ya'll just don't understand how good you've got it. Now, I know that most of the LSU fans are supportive of the coaching staff and the players and that the ones who do most of the bitching are in a minority. But, ya'll are really blessed with great facilities, great fan support, great players and a great coaching staff (in other words, a championship program). I know that the loss to Tennessee was very dissappointing, but that may very well be the only game you lose. Boy, I wish we had your problem. We would think we had died and gone to heaven. Hey, sit back and enjoy the ride.
He's a team captain and he's on the record. All of these unsubstantiated "insider" reports that the team is unhappy with the coach really have low credibility. Anyone can say anything on the internet. Players may grumble, of course, but this coaching staff isn't going anywhere soon and a player's best personal and team interests lie in getting with the program and making LSU successful.
I think he went overboard to stereotype ALL "fans" since the ones bitching AREN'T true fans... But, other than that I think it was good that he said what he did... I get fed up of hearing so-called LSU "fans" saying things like, "les miles, equals less wins," "LSU sucks," "We'll be lucky to win another game." Then after MSU these same fans are spouting off that the MSU is a pushover and that LSU will still get slaughtered by everyone they play... HELL, that doesn't even seem much like a fan at all. And I think it was a far stretch to say that things are worse in BR than anywhere else... I see your point KW, but it's BS...if you go anywhere else where you have loyal fans, especially overseas with soccer, and the favorite team wins (or loses,) you have rioting and complete chaos. That hasn't happened in BR...YET. You're damn right Miles and Pellini should be criticized for how they called the game against UT... But they should also be praised for calling a pretty stellar GP against MSU with a short-week. Maybe I feel sour since I always support the team and then a player comes out basically calling all the fans out like that... I still respect KW, but some of that was unsubstantiated (i.e. labeling BR as the worst place on earth... exageration on my part, I know...)
