Sorry if this has been posted already. I didn't see it, but did anyone catch the highlights of Buc/Falcons game? Kwon had 11 tackles, a forced fumble of Julio Jones, where he just took the ball away from him, a pick, and another pick that was wiped out because of a penalty. The significance of it all was the fact that his 17 year old brother was shot and killed earlier in the week, so he was obviously playing with a heavy heart. His teammates gave him the game ball and he understandably broke down afterwards. Congrats on the game and condolences to him and his family.
It's in the Tigers in the NFL thread, man I wish he still played in BR. This D would be legit. Makes you wonder if Chavis told him and Hunter to leave knowing he wasn't coming back. Wasn't Kwon pretty upset about Chavis leaving?
What is wrong with kids these days? Whatever happened to a good ole fist fight? I've gotten my ass kicked a time or 2, but never would have shot and killed the person that did it.
So you don't think that Chavis and his departure couldn't have had anything to do with it? I swear I read somewhere last year where he was upset Chavis left, and when he did declare he mentioned Chavis by name only. Isn't it possible that Chavis knew he was leaving and tried to persuade them all to leave as well? I mean he did sue LSU. I wouldn't put it past him, but I do agree he was probably the most NFL ready defender LSU had last year.
When players of his caliber feel like they are ready for the next level they go and coaches can't hold them no matter how much they like the coach. As much as we fans would like for Beckwith to stay another year he won't. There will be to much $$ on the table to pass up
Still didn't answer the question, I know players leave. That's a given. However he waited to make his announcement. And I'm not talking about a coach trying to convince him to stay and I'm not even saying if Chavis did tell him he should leave that that had anything to do with his decision. The question is is it possible that Chavis told him and others they should leave because he knew he was leaving. I don't know how I could make that a more simple question.
Maybe Chavis did. He might be that petty and vindictive. Bit I don't think that's the reason Kwow turned pro
I don't either. Personally speaking, I would lose respect for a coach if I knew he was leaving and he tried that shit on me. Nah most likely, Kwon left to get paid.
